Kampong Buangkok 2

Kampong Buangkok 2, 16″ X 20″, Acrylic on canvas

                                                    SOLD

This painting shows a typical scene of kampong(meaning “village” in Malay) in Buangkok. This is the last surviving kampong in mainland Singapore, situated besides the Sungei Punggol. The kampong houses are a surprise amidst the urban high rise buidings. Wooden houses with metal roofs, rain puddles in the paths, overhead power lines, fences and many others are some rare sights which can only be seen in the kampong.
