Tampines Town Council recently placed an order for 5 unique handmade sets of Rangoli……. a special privilege is that these custom made sets are going to be signed by 5 of our Honorable
Members of Parliament!!
Usually done on floor, Rangolis are designs composed of geometric patterns and shapes, together with rich colours. There are numerous possibilities in pattern and colours by rearranging the geometric shapes and I am always awestruck by seeing these designs and colours in Nature as florals, snowflakes, skin patterns of creatures on land and sea…so on.
Since the order here is to be framed, I had to go for a different medium than usual. I made these a little more special, the users can change the background for a different look……needless to say, I had fun and joy in creating these sets during this festive season.
